Frames: Mid long shot

Frames: Mid Long Shot.
A Mid long shot would be used to capture majority of the image that is being taken. A director would most likely use it so that they are able to capture the subject of the shot therefore they are the main focus, but with also the background in the view so that the audience knows what tone the content is set in. 

A director would use a person in a Mid long shot so that they are the focus of the image and so that the audience are able to see their full body. If the actor has not got their full body showing, then it would most likely be them from the knees up. For example:

A director would use a Mid long shot of an object to show the object and the background with it too. If there is not an object in the view the image would most likely be at the beginning of a scene or of scenery landscape. For example:
