Narrative style: Non-Linear
Themes: Violence, weapons, drugs and smoking.
Music: we will get old classical music off of YouTube, we will also email the company asking for approval to use their music in our opening sequence to avoid copy right.

Overview Concept
We shall start off the opening sequence with the ending of the film two women holding a gun to each others head. It then transitions the scene by a sound effect of a bullet being shot. However, we do not see who has been shot until it actually goes to the beginning of the film. This is where there shall  be a women walking down the road humming to herself. To begin  our film company and age rating will appear, it will then proceed to an intense scene of two people holding guns to certain characters heads. The music will be made to be loud and intense and the scene will run fast to add to the effect. The screen will then present (the company name) presents L'affaire Rouge". However even though the writing will appear, the back will remain as before. Throughout the whole sequence, whenever writing appears the background will stay the same. The text will begin to slowly fade and then go back to the scene of the three girls. This is where the affair will be spoken of, the scene will then cut on Que of  gun shots. The scene will fade out and therefore indicates that the sequence is over.

Location
A lot of our filming will be filmed in Gaby's garden, driveway and house. We are also going to try to film some scenes outside in the street. Our aim is to film majority of the sequence  in the evening so the streets will be dark and this will enable us to contribute shadows to our scenes. We shall also be filming in Gaby's house, however we do not wish to show much of the scenery as we feel the most simple of the background the more effective the scene will be.

Visual Elements /Mise-en-scene/style choices
Our footage will be filmed in colour however, it will be edited into black and white. This allows us to experiment with the black and white on the computer and it also allows us to have a spot of colour when it is needed. Majority of our lighting will be dark, we will have patches of light to add the film noir effect. For the props and costume, our aim is to match the time zone.

Equipment and resources
The main source of equipment will be lighting kit. The strong light will be used to light the scenes in many different ways. The lights allow us to experiment with shadows and create the film noir effect. We will be using Gaby's Cannon camera to film most of our footage however, we will also rent out a camera to film from two different angles and when editing we can decide which is better.

Possible struggles and how we will over come it
One of the key factors that we may struggle with, is lighting. Being able to perfect the effect of film noir. We will need to make sure the light doesn't black out the light on our faces. One other factor that we may struggle with is editing the footage into black and white and getting the right tone. To be able to overcome this we will ask for help and make sure we allow plenty of time to edit so we can do our work to our best ability.

Summary
To summarise our plans for this opening sequence, our aim is to make the audience want to ask questions and be intrigued to watch the rest of the film. We also want to make the whole thing look as old fashioned and as skilled as we can. our main goal is to make the audience believe this was set in the 1940's
